I just wanted to take a moment and wish all of our readers a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving. It is my favorite holiday because it involves food, family and football. We appreciate all of our readers of Talking Tobacco and we look forward to bringing you more musings from the Pipes and Cigars staff. We have a lot of exciting projects in the works and we will keep you updated as the weeks go by.
I also want a new pipe for Christmas and I do not know exactly what pipe I want. I enjoy a wide range of pipes, so making a decision will take time. Years ago I would buy pipe after pipe, but as I get older my purchases have decreased but the quality of my collection has increased. I found a few really nice Forseti pipes, but I could not make up my mind. and two of the pipes I wanted have sold Then we have a new Italian line of pipes we will introduce next week and for the price I have found a few really nice pipes. They are well made and are very affordable. I will ponder these decisions over the next few days and see what other pipes we have.
If you could buy a new pipe, what would it be? Leave a comment and let me know if you have any suggestions.
Ardor MARTE Calabash. A bit out of my range, but it has an interesting look. The Nording Freehand Grain series pipes are all gorgeous.
Brian, thank you for the comment. I love Ardor pipes and have a few in my collection. They are great smokers. I do not own a Nording but they are well made pipes for the price.Kevin
A new pipe that I want would be a Radice and or a nice smooth Luciano, (imho, Luciano’s sandblast seem to come with
pits that aren’t at the least hidden). I’ve gotten a couple and although they smoke well, they got some ‘fugly’ to them.
Tony, thank you for your comment. I am very impressed with Luciano, I almost purchased one from our last shipment. Radice is one of the top pipe makers that we carry and one day I will add a Radice to my collection, I just have not found the ‘right’ one. Kevin
