Our friend Jeff, aka “CutleryLover” on YouTube celebrated International Pipe Smoking Day by recording a video review of the Savanelli Churchwarden black sandblast billiard pipe.
You get to see everything from packaging (there’s a “How to enjoy smoking a pipe” insert that comes in the box), through handling and experience while smoking. The one thing Jeff didn’t touch on that I would want you to know if you’re at all interested in smoking a Churchwarden is the fact that the long stem does give the smoke an opportunity to cool off before it reaches your mouth. So, if you smoke a tobacco that tends to burn hot, or if you tend to smoke at a faster pace, you’ll find the churchwarden pipe a very pleasant experience because it’s a very cool smoke.
In the video, Jeff mentions the “Churchwarden gift set“, which includes a Savinelli brand sandblast churchwarden pipe Two (2) – 50g Tins of Mastro de Paja pipe tobacco – one (1) Roma and one (1) Milano… BJ Long’s Churchwarden Bristled Pipe Cleaners and a Czech pipe tool and wooden matches.
